George Orwell

George Orwell was an English writer and essayist who is best known for his novels Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four. He was born Eric Arthur Blair in Motihari, India in 1903, but spent most of his life in England. Orwell's writing often focused on social and political issues, and he was a staunch critic of totalitarianism and imperialism. He died in 1950 at the age of 46. Today, Orwell is widely regarded as one of the most important writers of the 20th century, and his work continues to be studied and admired around the world.
